The Third Tip:
Make connections between the vocabulary you want to learn and other vocabularies, other phrases, and other verbs that are relevant to you and your life:
For example the word “ambition”; link this word to a situation that happened in your life, for example: My teacher told me that I have a great ambition. Or: We discussed in the class the issue of the world’s great powers having high economic ambitions.
Or remember a phrase maybe you like, such as: There’s no limit to ambition or Ambition is like love, it takes patience in front of competitors.
The reason that makes this method effective is that our brain does not store information separately, rather it links it to prior information and knowledge. If we remember one piece of information, we remember all the other relevant information. Therefore, when we associate a single word with prior information, previous situations, or previous vocabulary, we help the brain to remember this word and retrieve it again.
Now try to link the word (treasure) to situations to memorize and remember it.

النصيحة الثالثة
اصنع روابط بين المفردة التي تريد أن تتعلّمها ومفردات أخرى، عبارات أخرى أفعال أخرى ذات صلة بك وبحياتك:
مثلاً: كلمة طموح ، اربط هذه الكلمة بموقف حدث لك في الحياة مثلاً: قال لي أستاذي إنّ طموحي كبير . أو: ناقشنا في الصّفّ قضيّة أن الدول الكبرى لها طموحات اقتصادية كبرى.
أو تذكر عبارة ربما تحبها ، مثل: لا نهاية للطموح أو الطموح مثل الحب يحتاج إلى الصبر أمام المنافسين .
السبب الذي يجعل هذه الطريقة فعالة هو أنّ عقلنا لا يخزّن المعلومات منفردة، بل إنّه يربطها بمعلومات ومعارف سابقة فإذا تذكرنا معلومة واحدة فإننا نتذكر كل المعلومات الأخرى المرتبطة بها . ولهذا فإننا عندما نربط مفردة بمعلومات سابقة أو مواقف سابقة أو مفردات سابقة فإنّنا نساعد بذلك العقل على تذكر هذه الكلمة واسترجاعها مرة أخرى.
والآن حاولوا أن تربطوا كلمة (كنز) بمواقف لحفظها وتذكّرها:
هل لعبتم مثلي لعبة البحث عن الكنز؟
صّديقي له طموح كبير إنه كنزٌ حقيقيّ
أو القناعة كنز لا يفنى
