The Immersion Program
An immersive and qualitative program presented by Faseeh, offering a distinctive cultural, linguistic, and social experience for students. Participants actively contribute to various community services and immerse themselves in the workings of social and non-profit organizations. Prior to these experiences, students attend a language-focused session with an instructor to acquire vocabulary tailored to the location, learn cultural expressions crucial for effective communication, and gain insights into the background of the hosting institution. Following their service day, students submit a detailed report, fostering discussions with the instructor and peers to enhance language skills and analyze observed cultural practices.
This 10-week program covers a diverse range of service locations, including orphanages, production kitchens, sewing workshops supporting vulnerable families, health centers, refugee camps, schools, Sufi circles, religious establishments, tables for the underprivileged, and clothing distribution centers for those in need.
Weekly Fee: $80 (includes a language session with the instructor, a day of service at the organization – minimum 3 hours, and transportation costs to the location).
